Keep adding sand to GP ring (AND warm up rings) so grass gets MORE deeply rooted, and gives improved cushion and absorption for next year!!
Derby was a fun event! Maybe have a "evening" jumper / Derby class in that ring w/ the BANK..
Way to go!!

| | 5. This was our first trip to Aiken (from Chicago). I think its unanimous among our group that it was a really great 3 weeks for us and our horses!
The showgrounds were completely transformed! The footing was great (but keep working on the backside of that annex ring, though). The show was VERY exhibitor friendly - the baskets of fruit near the rings was a really nice (and frequently welcome) touch ! The KY derby party was great !
The judging was fair and consistent. And - this may sound silly but - it was the only show I think I have EVER been to (including Wellie) where the port-a-johns were ALWAYS clean - even at the end of the week.
The only issue was in keeping some of the rings moving. There were some pros with ALOT of rides which put some of the hunter rings/divisions back several hours, and 3 weeks in a row. While conflicts happen and we want the pros to make a living...there needs to be a bit better balance. Afterall its we amateurs that are paying to be there.

| | 6. Everything was great! I thought the place looked great and really looked like a big "AA" show. Footing was much better then the grass. The parties were great and it was an all around very fun 3 weeks! |

| | 9. I thought the show management did a fabulous job. The footing was good (better than being on grass week after week). Courses were nice. Hunter Derby was wonderful. Rings ran as smoothly as could be expected. I will definately come back to Highfields again! |
| | 10. I thought it was fabulous!! We showed in the 2nd and 3rd weekend, and I had a blast! Thank you very much! I thought it was very well run, and the place looked great!! We are so use to Aiken, that I was shocked when I saw it for the first time! Great job!!
