As a US Navy Corpsman, I was did basically everything a Physicians assistant does -- Cut & sew, prescribe & dispense, order & perform lab & radiology exams, etc. Now I'm a consultant for radiology departments. A lot of my time was spent dealing with emergencies on board ship. We'd basically go running calling out 'medical emergency', and hoping we got there in time. |
