Kurt/Amanda seemed like a last minute attempt to have a mutant/human item in the show after Jean and Scott were set to move away from their human dates - have to have that message about tolerance and seeing past differences after all. Though I think Amanda likes Kurt's difference a little too much, possibly a furry fan. And a Stalker Xp I like Amanda's design, and that's about it. Very flat assigned love interest sort of character. Kitty/Lance is kinda creepy sometimes, when he grabs and yanks her arm. But then it's kind of hilarious to pair that sort of behavior with a girl who can just phase right through him, he can never actually hurt her. It is a weirdly sweet couple, and I can excuse Lance's behavior as something else that makes his character well developed. Jean/Scott is sort of boring and a blatant given, but I still melted over them at the end of Blind Alley. Todd/Wanda is so friggin' cute and funny, but I think I prefer it staying one sided. Poor Wanda has enough issues. I sorta hope that blond ski instructor disguise reminded her of a decent person she'd known in her asylum or something, and that she wasn't just responding to the blond buff look, ick. Rogue/Gambit... I dunno. Need to rewatch their big episode together. Loved all the Rogue pining for Scott stuff though. Mystique/Destiny are 'Rouge has two foster mommies' love. And Tabitha/Amara is fun to think of happening, if only briefly. I doubt Tabitha's would want to tie herself down with one person for too long. Tabitha/Kurt and Tabitha/Freddy are awesome too. |
